Hi, I'm Anski
“I'm a Finnish engineer and business designer — and I want to show you the effect forests can have on you, even in the heart of a modern capital city.”
I can’t tell you exactly when I fell in love with nature, because like so many Finns, I simply grew into it. My parents took me foraging for blueberries and lingonberries and on slow, restful family weekends hiking. I grew up playing outdoors — from Finnish Lapland to the Mediterranean — always finding somewhere new to climb, explore, and hide.
My dad taught me orienteering and survival skills. My mum let me explore and told stories, just as her own father had done with her. My dad set the growing excitement: would we spot a bear today? I’d love to share these stories and that excitement with you — as though you were my own family or my dear friend.
At eighteen, I chose engineering over history and cultures, and spent fifteen years in the global manufacturing industry. My work took me all over the world, meeting clients, suppliers and people from every culture imaginable. I studied sustainable business too. But my love of the outdoors, history and arts never faded — in my free time you’d find me in a museum or hiking with a backpack, from the Alps to South America.
Eventually, I realised I’d had enough of corporations. So I founded this company, with a simple mission: to share the forest the way my family shared it with me. A day in these woods doesn’t just pass — it changes you a little. As our climate changes too, I wish to show what we’ve got before it’s too late. If the experience shifts something in you, even a little, I’ve succeeded.
Doing it smart
I love a cosy bed at the end of a day outdoors. That's why I specialise in day trips from a single, comfortable base — you choose your hotel and activity level, and I design the adventure around it.
My curious, engineering mind loves to do things cleverly. I use data to seek out genuine silence, darkness and still experiences — the kind that are increasingly rare and precious.
We honour the nature we explore and travel rubbish-free. What we carry into the forest, we carry out of it. I am currently working to achieve "Sustainable travel certificate" and wish to achieve it 2027.
