What Makes Us Different

Real connection - private forest myths and forest wellness

Step into Finland's living folklore. You'll walk the paths of ancient and modern hunter gatherers, hear tales about the divine bear of the north and how bear is hunted today. No crowds, nor rush, an environment where exploring nature hearing about Kalevala's folklore that inspired even J.R.R Tolkien in his works.

Safety first

First Aid certified guide with 15+ years of experience of team leadership and risk management, hiking and enjoying day trips outdoors. Every tour is meticulously planned taking weather and the groups' condition of the day into account.

Leave no trace

We honor the nature we explore. What we carry into the forest, we carry out of it. We are founded by a sustainability business designer and we are committed to Sustainable Travel Finland's principles. We carefully plan out trips wishing that after spending the day with us you take home a little bit deeper respect for forests' fragile magic.

Science driven experiences

Science confirms what Finns have known for centuries: being outdoors and interacting with nature improves health (1). Hear out how nordic children that spend time outdoors (e.g. crawl in snow, mud and moss) benefit from it. We use data to seek out genuine silence in the city and let stress melt away replaced by the beating heart of the forest.

Pick your trip

All excursions combine nature knowledge with folklore, mythology and Finnish culture. Custom based on your needs - step into Kalevala's pages and let your imagination wonder about bears, forest spirits....or rely more on forest relaxation...or have an active day out hiking.

I’m a Finnish business designer and engineer. I grew up playing outdoors, living in different countries and now I want to share the quiet magic of the Finnish woods with international visitors, one small-group day trip at a time. There are no strangers, just friendly adventurers who have not met yet…
